How to properly care for wood!

STEP ONE: PREPARATION AND CLEANING

Wind and weather have a significant impact on wood outdoors.
You can restore and permanently protect decking and garden furniture where the wood is already weather-damaged and grey.
We offer you a complete package of carefully selected products for this.

KORALAN GREY WOOD RENOVATOR
Water-soluble cleaning concentrate.


Properties / Application:
For damaged and greyed wood.
Deeply penetrating cleaning concentrate based on oxalic acid.
For restoring and priming weather-damaged and greyed wood outdoors, e.g. terraces, decking, garden furniture, boat and yacht decks, etc.
Restores the natural colour of the wood.
Apply with a stiff brush and wait for approx. 10 minutes for the reaction to take place. Then rinse thoroughly with water.
Application amount: Approx. 50 – 100 ml / m2 depending on the dilution or level of contamination.
Container sizes: 1l | 2.5l


STEP TWO: PROTECTION AND CARE
Initial cleaning may be necessary depending on the condition of the wood. Subsequent treatment with one of the wood oils will give the wood effective protection and the necessary care.
Simply choose the product and shade you want and you will see that tables, chairs and wooden flooring can be attractive again!
New wood also needs proper care at the beginning.
This is the only way to prevent premature wear and greying.

PRACTICAL TIPS
The substrate must be clean, dry and free of grease.

We recommend that you make a test application

The intensity of the colour is particularly influenced by the condition of the substrate, the type of wood, the application technique and the moisture content of the wood. For very oily tropical wood (e.g. Massaranduba) we recommend that the wood remains uncoated for 6 to 8 weeks before the initial treatment with Koralan wood oil, or that it be treated with a highly diluted Koralan Grey Wood Renovator, otherwise stains or defects in the coating may appear.

Drying can take considerably longer under unfavourable weather conditions (high humidity, low temperatures).
This also applies when oils are applied to certain types of tropical wood (e.g. Massaranduba, teak) as well as oak.

The lighter the colour chosen, the more intensive the wear and the shorter the intervals for subsequent care.
Only regular care protects the surface of your wood from sun, rain, greying and reduces swelling and shrinkage of the wood.
